Next-gen Alfa Romeo Giulietta re-imagined!

Believe it or not, the outgoing Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been around for almost a decade now, with only a minor refresh in between. According to Alfa Romeo’s recent reveal of its product plan, the Giulietta will receive yet another update in 2022, and not a new generation change as far as we know.

Nevertheless, with the reveal of the Tonale concept SUV by Alfa Romeo at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, it is clear that the Tonale is a sign of what’s to come, at least in terms of design. Photo manipulator guru that is Theophilus Chin created these pair of impressive renderings for us of what he thinks the next-generation Giulietta should look like.

We don’t have any details on whether the eventual replacement will be RWD or FWD, but it’s safe to say that some sort of hybrid or even a fully electric version will be available based on the trend we are seeing. As for the engine lineup, expect them to be shared with Jeep products such as the Renegade.

While we won’t be seeing a new generation Giulietta anytime soon, the Tonale concept is surely a promising hint of where Alfa Romeo’s design language is headed.
