Most powerful Porsche Panamera revealed!
A standard Panamera Turbo could overrun an Aston Martin Rapide and it is one of the fastest limo with over 493bhp. Porsche however, decided to make it even more unbeatable by revealing a much powerful version, the Turbo S. With over 542bhp, the Panamera Turbo S can now easily overtake a Mercedes S63 AMG (518bhp), a BMW 760Li (537bhp), and even takes a shorter time to reach 62mph compare to their very own 911 GT3 RS at only 3.8 seconds.
The Panamera Turbo’s twin-turbo 4.8-litre V8 remains the same, but Porsche manages to squeeze out those extra power from it by installing titanium-aluminium turbine wheels into the turbochargers and tweaked the engine control management for power, and more power. There is also an overboost function which unleashes all of it’s 590lb ft of torque at the press of a button.
The Panamera Turbo S is now the top of the range model and will come with many electronic gadgets as standard. These includes Porsche’s Dynamic Chassis Control, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus with electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and also Sport Chrono Package which gives you a Sport Plus button to make the drive more “sporty”, but mostly something to talk about to your friends.
The Panamera Turbo S will go on sale beginning in June and will cost a whooping £20,000 more than a “normal” Panamera Turbo at £122,623. Consider it as a bargain as no other cars in this price range (Aston Martin DB9, Bentley Continental GT) could beat the Turbo S for sheer power. At least they definitely beat this car on looks!
