Facelifted 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class first look!
After some suspicious drawings of the rumored facelifted C-Class appeared on the web a few months ago, we can finally confirm that those drawings are actually accurate! Welcome to the newly facelifted Mecedes-Benz C-Class!
To remind us that the boring C-Class is actually still on sale, Mercedes-Benz had recently revealed their revised mid-sized sedan. Significant changes to both exterior and interior really does make the bland C-Class much more appealing once again.
The most obvious changes are the headlights, which gives a hint of those from the E-Class as well as the CLS. The rear lights remains similar but with more LEDs and comes with a slightly different bumper. The interior is even better news…..
With steering wheel borrowed from the uber-cool CLS and dashboard from the E-Class, it is a HUGE improvement from the current model thats is filled with hard black plastic. And its also a rare thing to have a car’s interior to be totally redesigned for just a mere facelift, the new interior really looks like it is reserved for the next generation C-Class. Well done there Mercedes!
To make everyone even happier, Mercedes also generously threw in five more new driving assistance, which includes the Attention Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Park Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Assist which are all previously only for the bigger brothers. Even the COMAND system is updated.
Three engine choices will be available for the US which ranges from a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 201 hp to the C350 which has a new 3.5-liter V6 which churns out 302 hp. The more environmentally friendly British will have a range of cleaner diesels which includes the C200, C220 and C250 CDI models. Don’t forget to check out the two videos below and one of them is a video from Mercedes wishing us a happy and Merry Christmas! By the way, what do you think about this facelift?
