The pictures you’ll see here are teaser sketches of Hyundai’s upcoming new model, the i40. The car will come in two body styles which includes a medium sized sedan and an estate/wagon form that will appeal more to the European market.
Only three engine choices will be available at first, a 2.o liter petrol engine which develops 174bhp and two single turbo 1.7 liter diesel engine which generates 114bhp and 134bhp respectively. A twin-turbo diesel engine will only be available in 2012.
Expect the new i40 to have high quality interior and plenty of luggage space and also loaded with standard equipments to make it competitive among other rivals such as the Ford Mondeo and the Vauxhall Insignia for they have both sedan and estate/wagon forms.
We will be able to see the Hyundai i40 in the upcoming Geneva Auto Show next March and will go on sale in the UK just two months after. That is just for the estate/wagon version while the sedan will only go on sale in November. No prices were announced yet but expect it to be competitively priced and shall have Hyundai’s awesome five-year, unlimited mileage warranty…….for the UK.
