Porsche 911 “10th Year Anniversary Edition” revealed in China!

China, one of the country with the most poorest people especially in rural areas. Venture in to the big cities however, and some of the world’s wealthiest people lives there. Big contrast I know, but this is just the fact of reality. China is one of the biggest market for premium car makers like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, and Porsche and they are earning tons of profits from the Chinese.

Porsche however, don’t seemed to be happy enough and decided to earn a bit more with their new release. The Porsche 911 “10th Year Anniversary Edition”! Like the name suggest, the car was launched to commemorate Porsche’s 10th year in China.

Based on the standard 911 Turbo S, the car will be powered by a  turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine with 530hp. The difference between buying this and the 911 Turbo S is that you get an exclusive Gold Bronze Metallic paint, carbon fiber hood, special 19-inch Sport Classic rims which are commonly fitted to most of their special edition cars (Porsche Sport Classic,911 Speedster), and many other carbon fiber trims on the exterior.

For the interior, you will see Alcantara sport seats with contrasting golden stitching, Sport Design steering wheel (an option for standard Turbo S), extra front splitter, and exclusive side sill plates. So basically it is just a gold painted, fully spec, 911 Turbo S. So just paint yours gold and fool people that your car is special!

The car will be limited to only 10 units and the price would be around 3.5 million Chinese Yuan ($537,000). If you are a wealthy Chinese from China reading this now, please hang on to your checkbook and buy a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 instead!
