Chevrolet Cruze hatchback official patent drawings revealed!

These colorless models you see here is the official drawings of the Cruze hatchback that is used by Chevrolet for trademark filings with the European patent office. As expected, many changes have been made to make the car look more bland and toned-down compared to the concept.

The front is exactly identical to the sedan, and those fancy looking LEDs from the concept have been ditched and will still stick with normal circle fog lights, just like the sedan. We can’t really see the light cluster in these drawings but I assume the rear lights will be normal bulbs as well.

Chevrolet hardly did any changes to the front for us to differentiate between the sedan and the hatchback (for budget reasons I believe).  The only way to tell them apart is to look at the rear or their side profiles. Well, it is just a Cruze hatchback after all. Expect the car to have the same engine lineups from the sedan when it goes on sale. Check out more of the official patent drawings right below in the gallery.
