New MINI Paceman Concept revealed!

Love the great looking Range Rover Evoque? Im talking about the two-door version of the Evoque which look more sleeker and sexier. Yes you do? In fact everyone does. Soon, one day the roads will be full of Evoques and everyone is bored of it soon after. Everybody wants to drive something different…..well may I introduce you the MINI Paceman Concept!

The Pacman, sorry Paceman will be shown at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Basically a Countryman with its two rear doors removed, the Paceman is set to aim at “young, modern, extrovert urbanites” who loves to showoff and stand out of the crowd. With an imposing front end, sloping roofline, and ogre-like rear lights, we can clearly see why.

The Paceman (got it correct this time!) being a heavy vehicle, will need ample power and therefore will be powered by MINI’s most powerful engine……..a 1.6 liter! I know what you are thinking but there are two good reasons why MINI uses this engine. First, this 1.6 liter engine from the MINI JCW (John Cooper Works) is turbocharged and produces 208 hp which is decent and at the same time, more fuel efficient. Secondly, thats all MINI got.

You may wonder why the windows are all tinted black. For privacy? To look cool? Wrong! The correct answer is that the Paceman concept does not have a proper interior yet because it is still in progress, and therefore tinted black away from our view for good.

The MINI Paceman Concept is still well, a concept, and therefore this car has leather MINI badge, door handles and fuel cap straps that will never see the day of light along with the car. But hold on, because MINI said that it “could become another building block in the ongoing development of the brand and its product portfolio.” Hmmm does that mean there is going to be a similar model? Not sure but we can just hope for the best and check out the gallery and video below to satisfy our imagination if it doesn’t!
