The pictures you see now are the leaked photos of the upcoming Audi A6 sedan. By the time I am typing this, the leaked photos are surfaced on the Dutch car site Autoblog.nl just minutes ago. From these photos you can clearly see that the design of the car was heavily influence by its bigger brother the Audi A8, from the LED headlights to the almost identical looking rear lights. The interior is also borrowed from the Audi A7 Sportback. These are leaked photos and therefore no specification of the car have been released yet.
Audi’s car model lineup looks futuristic and well but they all just look to similar with each other. Let me explain, the rear lights of the latest and most expensive A8 looks similar to those from the much cheaper A4, the headlights from the A7 Sportback is the same as this A6 you see here which is only going to launch in two years time! Come on Audi, people liked one of your car design does not mean you have to apply them to all models with just little changes. This is just making everyone unsatisfied when a rich man’s A8 looks almost identical to the much cheaper A4 and the A6……..and the A7. I know this design problem will still not stop people from buying Audi cars because they are still good cars. But if Audi’s design language continues to be this repetitive, I believe one day it will.
More leaked photos of the 2012 Audi A6 sedan can be viewed right below. Thanks to Autoblog.nl for these leaked photos.
