The Mitsubishi Shogun (or Pajero in other regions) is the benchmark SUV from Mitsubishi. First launched way back at 2006, there is no doubt the Shogun is getting a bit dated despite a recent minor facelift. Mitsubishi UK then took matters into their own hand and released a special version of the Shogun called the Black Edition, hoping to sell a few more units.
In contrary to what the name suggest, the only thing black about it are the exterior styling features which includes black 20 inch alloy wheels, roof, spoiler, wing mirrors, grille and headlamp bezels, fog lamp surrounds, door handles and side steps are all in black. Of course you can make Mitsubishi’s effort making all these details in black to waste by opting the Diamond Black paint. White, silver, red and brown paint are also available. Besides these fancy exterior styling, the Shogun is technically identical to all other Shoguns. £1,000 is the premium you have to pay for all these black exterior bits, bringing the total price to £41,999.

It is an ageing design after all. But people buy this car are mostly for it’s serious off-road talents!
